Premium experience
One of the most beautiful and elaborate experiences we have had aboard Spirit: four Kuwaiti friends came to enjoy the Basque Country and the luxury experiences offered by each of our cities. Spirit was part of that itinerary.
We embarked mid-morning at the port of San Sebastian, accompanied by Israel Martinez and Ales Rueda, private Chef and Sommelier on board the sailboat.
We started the trip by discovering the other perspective of Concha Bay and the city of San Sebastian through the sea. We continue with an exquisite menu designed especially for the occasion based on the tastes of the travelers and accompanied by the pairing suggested by Ales Rueda, elevating the experience to the highest level.

After a delicious gastronomic experience in a private and privileged place, Israel and Ales disembarked. We resumed navigation and visited the port of Pasajes next to its amazing mouth continuing along the slopes of Mount Jaizkibel.

As we reached Cape Higuer, the sun began to set until we were dazzled by a spectacular sunset before entering the harbor.

Anniversary celebration aboard the sailboat
Urbina and her partner’s anniversary is one of the most special moments of the year. They wanted to enjoy an unforgettable experience together and make it a day to remember. This couple from Irun did not hesitate to celebrate their 21 years together sailing the Basque Coast with Spirit Experiences.

We set sail from the port of Hondarribia, discovering some of the most exciting marine stories of the Bay of Txingudi. We cross the sea until we enter the French coast accompanied by a landscape whose beauty imposes.
During the crossing, they enjoyed an aperitif and cold cider to finally reach Saint-Jean-de-Luz. There, a refreshing swim and a celebratory meal awaited us.

Finally, we resumed the crossing with a light crosswind that allowed us to hoist the Spirit’s sails, making them feel like true captains of the ship.

Relax and luxury on the Basque Coast

We started the crossing from the wonderful Bay of Txingudi on an idyllic day, with a north wind and calm sea. For them, no celebration was necessary. Just focus on the five senses and live the moment to the fullest. We enjoyed a sailing trip to the Bay of Pasajes in just two hours. A shining sun that warmed us while the north wind cooled us creating a perfect environment to sail on the sea and enjoy it.

We enjoyed a most delightful sailing adventure aboard the Spirit. The crew and owners are a father-son team (Ian and Jon) who represent generations of sailing experience and are educated, professional, and successful entrepreneurs. Jon managed all of the pre-boarding details including customized planning to our preferences, arranging a private driver to pick us up at our hotel and taxi return, and preparing a delicious display of home-cooked shrimp served with wine and cheese selections. We had several communications and Jon was always very responsive and professional. Both Ian and Jon are delightfully engaging. The course we sailed was breathtakingly beautiful with descriptions of Basque history and culture added to enhance the overall experience. It was an awesome experience and a beautiful way to see Basque Country.
